Maponus and Goronwy: The story of Mabon. The corn god Maponus was wild and abounded.
The goddess was his mother and lover.
At the 21st of September the harvest was celebrated.
The bounty of fruits and vegetables was great.
And Maponus and Mother Earth were honoured.
Goronwy, the god of darkness and twin to Maponus challenged his brother.
The dominion of life was at stake.
When Goronwy almost won, the goddess held her breath.
Maponus asked his brother,
If I go now, and come back when the summer equinox is here.
Will you let me have the honor to rule again?
Goronwy wanted to strike for the last time and let his brother not have his wish.
But the goddess came between and took Maponus in.
She said, I will carry Maponus in my womb till the second equinox is here.
As his will, we shall command.
Goronwy take your thrown with pride, because you have won.
Maponus is not dead, he is sleeping for six full moons.
And when he awakens again. He will be strong and life will flourish.
Until that time comes, Goronwy will be king.
For one moon

But who other than the Seers can claim the incantations that knot the skeins they twist and pull on like reins hold fast? When have any of the Sisters recorded the visions they traced upon space-time and recited them, left them open for critique and discussion and debate?
Which is why she walks through the chalky soot of the smashed city around her. This all
